Description

The course entitled “OrCAD PCB Editor for OrCAD Layout Users” provides an intensive, hands-on, one-day session to enable existing OrCAD Layout users to become familiar with using OrCAD PCB Editor.
(Users who are not familiar with OrCAD Layout are recommended the longer OrCAD PCB Editor training course)

  • Learn about the user interface for the OrCAD PCB Editor product.
  • Translating an existing OrCAD Layout database to OrCAD PCB Editor format.
  • Working with design rules, pad-stacks, footprints, obstacles and shapes.
  • Autorouting.
  • Generating Manufacturing data.
  • Loading netlist changes.

The premise of the course is to provide an interactive introduction to OrCAD PCB Editor around the course material and, should time allow, user driven topics will be covered as well.

Printed course material will be provided.
  
*OrCAD PCB Editor is the physical board editor in the OrCAD PCB Designer suite.

  • Current layout users looking to migrate to OrCAD PCB Editor

This course is for printed circuit designers and design engineers who have an understanding of PCB layout and manufacturing considerations.

Prerequisites

You should have a working knowledge of OrCAD Layout, PCB design and a basic understanding of PCB manufacturing processes.

You must also be proficient with using Windows and standard Windows applications
